21 Nov '08 - WWII Cinquains

We've been learning about WWII for our topic.

We've also been learning about cinquains in Language. A cinquain peom has a pattern of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 2 syllables on each line.

Have a look at these and then follow the link to our poetry page to read the rest.

Hi Primary Seven,
Glad to see you keeping up the blog:-)
Great poems, and a nice idea to combine your topic work with language.
I especially like how you have shown how people might have really felt during the bombing.
My mother told me a strange story about the blitz, she lived, as a wee girl, across the Clyde from Clydebank on a small farm. After the blitz the field behind her house was covered with flakes of burnt paper from pages of the Bible. In those days that would have been the only book in the house that were bombed. My mum said it looked like a strange snow fall.
How did you make the wee images of the poems on this post?
