07 Jan '08 - communication at our homes

Our class where talking about communication in our homes.
What kind of things do you use?

My son lives in Thailand so we sometimes use a webcam so that we can see each other. I have also found a phone company that allows me to phone him on his mobile for only 1p a minute. All this makes me feel better about him living so far away and would not have been possible a few years ago. I think that we are very fortunate to live on this age of great communication.

Fascinating stuff! I’m interested to know if those listening to the radio listen to online radio at all. We tend to so that we can get French radio (my wife’s French) and discover new music by seeing what our friends are listening to (Last.FM).
Also, I’m guessing that the phone is more mobile phone than landline, although I could be wrong.
Thanks for doing this – I’d love to know a bit more about those two areas.

Thanks for the comments.
Some of us talk to people abroad using
MSN and webcasms.
We do not listen to much radio on our computers.
On our graph you can see more of us have mobiles than landlines. All of p6 have mobile phones.
