18 Jun '07 - Russian teacher

On Friday afternoon a Russian lady came in. She was called Abby. She was the first Russian lady to come in Sandaig. She was telling us stuff about her country. The city that she came from was Perm. The population of her country was about 1 million people. She teaches 11 and 12 year old children German and English. They donít need to wear a uniform in some schools in Russia. Classrooms in Russia are very small but there are lots of children. The weather in Russia is very windy but the same as our weather. They canít swim in most rivers because factories throw their chemicals in the water. There is lots of Oak trees in Russia. In the winter when the rivers ice up people cut holes in the ice and catch fish.
