This morning both primary sevens did a burns assembly. It was all about Robert Burns’s life. We all sang some songs and there were four that we sang : they where called a red red rose, Auld Lang Syne, Scots wae hai, rantin rovin robin. We also did some poems we did them in groups. The poems where called. To a mouse, to a mountain daisy, a mans a man for a that, Tam o shanter (both classes), address to unco guid and address to tooth ache, the deils awa wi the exciseman.
P7s did three poems they where called to a mouse, the deils awa wi the exciseman and a mans a man for a that. P7m did address to unco guid, address to tooth ache and to a mountain daisy. Most of us where nervous and scared, but when we got stared we where alright.
Both classes did a poem called tam o shanter. We got all the words right it was really fun. There where some narrators too. They all had to say a bit about rabby burns themselves. At first our head teacher told the boys and girls to be quiet so we could begin. It was really really good.
