31 January 08 - 13:46Burns assembly
Today it was our Burns assembly, we sang and said poems. The first song we sang was called Rantin Rovin Robin which was about was about Robert Burns’s birthday, and then we said some poems like :The deils awa with the Exciseman, To a mouse and A mans a man for a that. Then both classes said Tam o’ shanter together. Then we sang more songs, we ended with Auld lang syne.
I liked doing the assembly because it was fun and interesting. My best poem was Tam o’ shanter because it was the easiest to learn, but some of the words we pronounced wrong the first time we practiced it. The best song was Scots Wha hae. I thought it was a bit funny when a boy in my class played some parts as Robert Burns. I learned more about Robert Burns because the narrators had to say some things about him.
We didn’t do our Burns assembly on Burns day because we had too much going on, and because we didn’t have enough time to go through all the classes poems.

11 October 07 - 13:39World war 2 topic
So far in our World war 2 topic we have learned what the family wore, what the family lived like and what people worked as. For world war 2 we are in differnt families, I am in the Friels. In the families we have different roles I am the mum. The first thing we learned when we started the topic was how they used to live. We learned that the mum used to work a home and look after the children and washed the clothes. After we learned how the family used to live we got a bit of paper and drew ourselves what we would look like in world war 2. Now we are going to learn about the womens role in world war 2.

14 September 07 - 14:37The Bridge
Today p7s went to the Bridge for a friendship day with St Stephens. When we got there we had to sit down before we split into either a group that does the dances or the group who can sing. The group that was doing the dancing stayed in the hall that we were all ready in and the group that was doing the song went up the stairs. The group that did drama and warm ups and the group that was up stairs were writing a song that we are going to record.

Horses are herbivores which mean they eat grass, hay and other plants. Their bodies are made for eating grass and hay so it is ok for their digestive system. They eat about 15- 25 pounds of food a day.
Horses can sleep standing up or lying down. They can also sleep in the day or in the night. They sometimes sleep at different times.
Horses love to have long runs out on fields. They also love to jump over things like logs that have been knocked down.

30 May 07 - 12:00What I have found out about Slovakia
The capital of Slovakia is Bratislava.
In Slovakia there is lots of transport such as trains, cars, planes and boats. There is 42,993km of roads in Slovakia and 3,662 of train tracks. In Slovakia there is some mountains in Slovakia, here are two of them: The Carpathian Mountains and the Tatran mountains. People in Slovakia speak Slovak, but in southern Slovakia most people speak Hungairian.
