This is the weblog of Sandaig Primary School.
Sandaig is in Barlanark in the city of Glasgow, Scotland.
A small experiment in the use of a weblog in a primary school.
A weblog can be all sorts of things, this one is going to start as a diary and link list by staff and pupils of Sandaig Primary. We will find out what to put on it as we go along.

Many of you will now know that Mr Johnston left Sandaig at the October holiday to begin a new job. He is now working in North Lanarkshire as an ICT coordinator. We wish him well but ofcourse we will miss him. We are all trying hard to keep up the website!
Next Friday is Hallowe'en and the children will be asked to dress up in the afternoon. We will have a parade of costumes starting about 1.15pm to which parents are invited. The children will then divide up into year groups and have a party. I will be asking for your usual support in supplying food for the parties. The details will be in the newsletter next week.
I have just been informed that the school will be closed on Thursday 6 November due to a local by-election within the Baillieston Ward. Children should not attend school on that day.
Parents' Night is scheduled for next Thursday 30 October. If you have not already done so please return your appointment slip to school.
We are about to launch the Credit Union for the children. Please look out for paperwork in schoolbags and encourage the children to join and help them to become savers!
