This is the weblog of Sandaig Primary School.
Sandaig is in Barlanark in the city of Glasgow, Scotland.
A small experiment in the use of a weblog in a primary school.
A weblog can be all sorts of things, this one is going to start as a diary and link list by staff and pupils of Sandaig Primary. We will find out what to put on it as we go along.

It is hard to believe that we are now quickly approaching the October week holiday. It has been a quick term. P1 are now settled into school and are coping well with being in school all day. As most of you will know school stops next Friday (12 October) for the October holiday.

We have had our first meeting of the Parent Council. Our constitution and Mission Statement is now drawn up. Copies of the constitution can be obtained by contacting school and the Mission Statement is displayed on the notice board at the front of the school. The next meeting of the Parent Council is on 24 October. Please try to come along. Each month look out for Parent Voice - a reminder of the date and an opportinity to raise issues you wish to be discussed at the Parent Council.

I would like to encourage parents to view entries on our school website and weblog. The weblog is updated daily with the children posting entries of what they have been doing in school. Please leave comments for the children. Comments are often left from people from all over the world but it would be very motivating for the children to receive comments from parents and friends.

I'll be sending home a newsletter this week so look out for it in schoolbags.
Have a nice holiday.
Regards
Miss McArthur
