About

This is the weblog of Sandaig Primary School.
Sandaig is in Barlanark in the city of Glasgow, Scotland.
A small experiment in the use of a weblog in a primary school.
A weblog can be all sorts of things, this one is going to start as a diary and link list by staff and pupils of Sandaig Primary. We will find out what to put on it as we go along.

+ 7 - 1 | § Half Way Through The Session

Hello everyone
It is hard to believe that we are now in the second half of the school session. As you all know this session has been different for all of us. I am proud to say how well the session has gone and how well the chilkdren are working together. It has been a fun and exciting session. We have done many activities in our classes and as a whole school. If you look at the 'Sandaig Otters' blog you will get a feel of the many different things that are happening in our school. We have even more planned for this term.
Book Week is coming up with, among other things, a visit from an author. This year we are having an Art Exhibition on 8 March. I hope lots of parents will be able to come in to see the children's work. 8 March is also parents' night so hopefully lots of parents will see the framed pictures which the children have done. There is also an opportunity to purchase your child's painting. This is an new activity and hopefully it will be something that everyone enjoys taking part in and seeing. Look out for the publicity material which P6 will be preparing
This term we will also be holding a school sponsor. The event will be based around our school values which the children agrreed on during our Snakes and Ladders project. Children will be sponsored t'o climb the ladder' as they demonstate positive values. More information will be sent home over the next few weeks.
Regards
Miss McArthur
