About

This is the weblog of Sandaig Primary School.
Sandaig is in Barlanark in the city of Glasgow, Scotland.
A small experiment in the use of a weblog in a primary school.
A weblog can be all sorts of things, this one is going to start as a diary and link list by staff and pupils of Sandaig Primary. We will find out what to put on it as we go along.

+ 4 - 3 | § Autumn is Approaching

It is hard to believe that there is only a few weeks left of term 1. I am delighted to let you all know that everything has gone very well this term. The children have joined together easily and are coping really well with the change. Over the term we have all got to know each other better and enjoying making new friends. I have enjoyed getting to know new parents, as well as children, and hope to continue getting to know more of you as the year progresses.
Letters have been issued to P7 with a view to organising a trip to the Netherlands next session. Due to the increase in numbers it will have to be resrticted to P7 this year, apologies to P6!
I will be sending home a newsletter this week so look out for it in schoolbags.
Regards
Miss McArthur

+ 4 - 2 | § September Update

Term 1 is well under way now and everyone seems to have settled well in to the new term.
P1 have had a really good start to school and are already making their way confidently around the school. Remember that P1 will be coming to school all day after the September weekend. You will receive a letter home asking you to let the teacher know what your child will be doing for lunch.
We will soon be launching into our planned whole school activity which has been devised to encourage the children to work together and discuss values in relation to school. Ask the children about Snakes and Ladders!
Regards
Miss McArthur
