About

This is the weblog of Sandaig Primary School.
Sandaig is in Barlanark in the city of Glasgow, Scotland.
A small experiment in the use of a weblog in a primary school.
A weblog can be all sorts of things, this one is going to start as a diary and link list by staff and pupils of Sandaig Primary. We will find out what to put on it as we go along.

+ 3 - 2 | § Only a Few Days Left

We had our end of term service today which went very well. There are still a few activities before we finish on Tuesday. Tomorrow, Friday, Hopscotch theatre group are coming to perform "Nessie" the story of the Loch Ness monster. In the afternoon we are having a percussion musical performance by P3 and P6 (parents welcome). On Monday we are having the Interhouse quiz followed on Tuesday by the Sandaig Sandals and Shades singalong (children should wear sandals and/or shades).
A reminder that due to the closure of Barlanark Primary the school will close for the summer break at 3pm on Tuesday.

+ 3 - 1 | § Summer Holidays are Coming

It is hard to believe but the end of term 4 is fast approaching. It has been an exciting session with the anticipation of the increased roll next session. We have been working towards this time and many preparations are in place. All the children have worked together over the last term and the activities have gone well. The children and teachers have used the opportunities to get to know each other.
Over the summer holidays much of the structural work will be carried out in the school ready for the children arriving in August. It will be an exciting time.
Have a great holiday - uniform will be available for collection on Tursday and Friday 17 & 18 August.
Regards
Miss McArthur
