About

This is the weblog of Sandaig Primary School.
Sandaig is in Barlanark in the city of Glasgow, Scotland.
A small experiment in the use of a weblog in a primary school.
A weblog can be all sorts of things, this one is going to start as a diary and link list by staff and pupils of Sandaig Primary. We will find out what to put on it as we go along.

+ 1 - 1 | § Welcome to Term4

The first week of Term4 has passed and P7 have been to Blairvadch and back again. They had a great time. You may want to look at the blog to see some fab pictures. P6 and P7 have now had a week away at an outdoor centre and enjoyed some very exciting and daring activities.
As I said in my last entry we have now planned some activities for the children to join with the children of Barlanark Primary to help them get to know each other before becoming one larger school in August. I will be sending home details of these via the next newsletter.
This week has seen the start of toothbrushing at Breakfast Club. It is a dry toothbrushing system and seems to be going well. This week we are also having football coaches coming in at Breakfast Club on a Wednesday to offer some physical activity before or after breakfast.

+ 1 - 1 | § Happy Easter

Hello everyone, I hope you are all enjoying the break from school. The weather hasn't been so good but hopefully you have managed to get some time outside. I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Easter and hope you have a nice time over the weekend. Looking forward to seeing everyone again on Tuesday.
Term 4 promises once again to be a busy term. We will be spending time getting to know the children from Barlanark Primary in preparation for us all being Sandaig Primary in August. As well as getting to know each other it is important that the children who will be new to Sandaig get to know their way around the building.
Some activities have already been planned but many other will be decided upon during the first week back. It is hoped that the children can help with some ideas as well.
Take care everyone
Miss McArthur
