A reminder that school stops for the Spring holiday at 2.30pm on Friday afternoon. It will be an eventful week this week.First of all P6 are off to Glencoe outdoor Centre on Monday for a week of adventure.
A reminder that because of the industrial action being taken by janitors, cleaners, dining staff and support staff, the school, like all Glasgow primary schools, will be closed for children on Tuesday. Tuesday was planned for egg decorating day so it has been resheduled for Wednesday. Children should all bring a hard boiled egg to school on Wednesday.
Friday is the Easter service in the church at 1.30pm. We will also have the results of the egg decorating followed by the egg hunt on Friday.
School reopens on Tuesday 19 April.

+ 0 - 1 | § ¶Sponsored Activity Day
This year's sponsored event will be during Health Week and will take the form of sponsoring the children for the number of physical activites they can take part in during their allotted time (age and atage dependant). This sponsor will tie in with the introduction of new playground toys and hopefully will encourage the children to be active during playtime. Sponsor forms will be coming to you this week.Money raised, as always, will be used to pay for outings and treats for the children. Please encourage the children.

+ 2 - 0 | § ¶Pre-12 Consultation
It is hard to believe that we are in March already. The consultation regarding the closure of Barlanark Primary has been passed through committee and children in Barlanark Primary will transfer to Sandaig Primary as from August 2006. The coming months are going to be busy as we make arrangements for staff and children to join our school. It is an exciting time.Lots of things are happening at school this term including beginning the induction of our new P1s for August 2006. Those parents will shortly be receiving information about coming into school for a 'chat'.
At the end of this term P6 are off to Glencoe Outdoor Centre and P7 are off to Blairvadach Outdoor Centre at the beginning of next term, so the older children will have lots of outdoor fun!
