| § Visit to Stirling

Yesterday a class from De Rank School in Holland came to visit primary 6 and 7. We did lots of activities. First some people showed them the two country-dances called the Honey moon and the flying Scotsmen. Then we showed them how to do social dances. After that primary 6 done mini Olympics with them and they were split into groups of 4, the groups were names of country’s, Peru, Hungary, Finland and Canada.
Peru won gold medals. After that primary 7 got t-shirts and the Dutch children signed their names on the back for us. Then it was lunchtime and the children from Holland got all they could eat, they looked as though they enjoyed it. At one o’clock we went to Stirling castle and we had to go partners with them. De tweede dag
I am not sure what this means;-) but there is a great set of photos of the De Rank children's visit to Sandaig.

| § Dutch visit

On Thursday the Dutch children came to visit. First there was a lot of dancing. The Scottish country dancing girls demonstrated the Honeymoon dance and the flying Scotsman. Then everyone danced the Gay Gordans and the Dashing white Sargent.

Piper

While everyone rested three pipers came in and played different tunes. The first piper played a French christmas carol, the second piper played Scotland the Brave and the third piper played I am a Little Dutch Girl!
When we came back we found out that it was a wet interval. We had to stay in when we where supposed to show the Dutch children around the playground. We didn't get the chance.
After playtime we had a mini olympics with the Dutch Children and primary six.
