I think the book is lovely, calm but also exciting. I always wanted to know what happened next and when I got to the end of the book I was really disappointed.

I like the book because it has a good description on almost everything. It has a very imaginative story and good characters.

What I like:
R.L.Stine uses a lot of Description. There is also a good plot.

A girl called Charlie is doing a project about the Victorians.
She creates a girl called Lottie who has to leave home aged eleven to be a servant.
Her project is turned into a diary.

I like the way Jaqueline Wilson has split the book in two.
Each chapter is about the same subject.
First about Charlie then about Lottie.

its a really very funny book.

its about a dad who works in a paper mill and his friend has an allagator for a pet.
He needs someone to look after it.
so the dad volunteered to look after it for him.
The dad brought it home from from work it destroyed their home.

This book would be a sutible for younger children and for people who wants to find out the Victorians.
The book is about a chimney sweep. I like how the author describes how Charlie is hurt.
