Yesterday we had a play called “what we did when the oil ran out.” It was about a family that had lots of bills to pay like Gas, water and electricity. Then they heard on the news that there was soon going to be no gas, electricity and no water. Then two children said that they were going to school but they were actually going to try and get some gas, some electricity and some water. But they did not mange to get any.
Then they went home, and told there mum were they went and what they had been doing.
At the end of the play one boy from the eco comity went up on the stage and told everyone want our school do to help the plant.
He said: at sandaig primary we pledge to help the environment by recycling plastic bottles, paper and plastic bags.

On Friday afternoon a Russian lady came in. She was called Abby. She was the first Russian lady to come in Sandaig. She was telling us stuff about her country. The city that she came from was Perm. The population of her country was about 1 million people. She teaches 11 and 12 year old children German and English. They don’t need to wear a uniform in some schools in Russia. Classrooms in Russia are very small but there are lots of children. The weather in Russia is very windy but the same as our weather. They can’t swim in most rivers because factories throw their chemicals in the water. There is lots of Oak trees in Russia. In the winter when the rivers ice up people cut holes in the ice and catch fish.

A few weeks ago p7s had art with Mrs Stewart. Mrs Stewart was showing was showing us how to do our own recreation of a stained glass window landscape by Louis Comfort Tiffany. It included a big bright sky, maybe a lake or a river and some hills, flowering irises and magnolia. The materials we used were tissue paper in many colours and black felt tipped pens to separating each part to make it look like a stained glass window. Overall I think everyone enjoyed making the pictures and they look really good here is mine.By Amy S
