Every Thursday Mrs McMichael comes in and takes p6 for basketball.
First we would get into a group of two then we would play dribbling then passing
That was our warm up. Then we would ask an other group of two to joined us we would play against them for about 3 minutes. Then its time to play the real basketball.
But in silence so we were like monkeys waving our hands in the air going like, 'give me that ball'. If you talked you would get sent of with your team then the other team would get put on.
People were moaning because they got sent off.
People were throwing the ball very high and the other team got it.
We all enjoyed it I think everybody had a good time.

On Tuesday 23rd of January p6 went to Scotland street school. We were going to act as Victorian children in a Victorian classroom.
When we arrived the boys went separate way from the girls. The girl wore dresses and the boys wore waistcoats with collars and fake ties. First we lined up outside the classroom. The girls kept their distance by putting their right hand on the girl shoulder in front of them. Ma’am shouted 4 girls then 4 boys. Everyone felt scared of her and what she would do. She looked scary and very strict and she had strawberry blond hair with a bun in it.
We all stood straight with our chins up and our hands behind our back. First Ma’am said a prayer and then we did our times tables. After that we did two sums. Then we got paper and a nib pen and used ink. First did our own name than we did Ewan’s. We did-a drill and then Ma’am turned nice. Everyone had a good time there and we enjoyed it.
We will be putting a lot more information about the visit on our website soon.

THE HOLOCAUST

Candles are lit,
Families are split,
The names that are "wrote",
Gives you a feeling in your throat.
The people have "spoke",
Hearts have been broke,
No one is there,
All you can do is stare.
It’s all just race,
It’s just a disgrace,
It wasn’t fair,
But he didn’t care!

our hats

We made some weather hats.
We cut shapes out of paper. We cut out suns, rain, rainbows, snowmen and clouds. We used shiny paper, sliver for clouds, red for a flower and gold for the sun.
We made pictures of places like beaches and things like umbrellas, sunglasses and puddles.
We put lots of effort into it, we had great fun.

Yesterday we went to the Concert Hall to see part of the Celtic Connections Festival.
First we saw a group of tutors playing. They played a Harp, violins, bagpipes, a flute and a bodrum. One of the women did some Irish dancing.

After that we hear Primary Seven from Parkview Primary singing. One of the songs was an old Highland love song. They also sang I am a sky scraper wean, everybody joined in that one. They sang a lullaby and the last song was a funny one about herring.

Finally wee heard a band called Vent Du Nord from Canada. They played a piano, a drum, a violin, an accordion and a hurdy gurdy.
The Band sang in French, one of was Vive l’amour.
Some of the band were stamp dancing, it was so good that we started to dance too.
The music was quite like Scottish music.
At the end of the concert some of us were interviewed by a reporter from an Australian Radio station.
