Primary 5 have started a new topic, The Solar System.
We have learned a poem to help us remember the planets in the solar system.
My Very Easy Mash Just Squash Up New Potatoes.
This helps us remember the planets in the right order from closest to the sun:
Mercury Venus Earth Mars Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune Pluto.

We will tell you more about the Solar System later.

Sarah came back (with Jim this time) and played an energy game. The game was about what we learned about on Monday.
The game involved Euros and Saver cards. It had questions about greenhouse gasses, coal and electricity. The Quiz has special and normal questions and Fortune cards.
There were four teams, Red, Blue, Green and Yellow. (more)

Earlier in the week we took video clips of what we were doing at the science centre .

In this picture you can see the children editing a video in groups.

We learned to edit videos on the school computers.

It was a bit tricky to put in the titles and the music so the movie would be better.

Today Primary five performed a Harvest Assembly. We told the school about sharing. We performed a play about not sharing a cake. We sang a song called Harvest Time.
We told all the children where the food that they had brought in was going. It is going to The Lodging House Mission.
After the assembly some of us took the food to the Mission.

This is the first time primary five have blogged!

We have been writing a play, and then we all made a good copy of it for our writing assessment folder.

I learned how to write a play, it was easier and more fun than I thought. It is something I might even start doing as a hobby. These are 3 things you need for a play Cast List, Setting and a Script.

I found the play very interesting because I like the 2 ducks the most and the Fox is so funny
