Today is our first Non-Uniform day this session.
We were asked to bring in a bottle for the Christmas fair. If we do we don't have to wear uniform.
What do you think we look like?

Today Primary 7 went to the Easterhouse Sports Centre to do the Athletics. There was javelin, chess throw, target throwing, long jump, triple jump as well as relays and obstacle courses. We came second out of all the schools that were there. Miss McArthur was pleased with us because we came in second and she said that she was very proud of us even though she wasn’t there.By Claire and Connor

On Sunday the 14 of November I went to Kilmarnock to race for my running club Shettlestone Harriers. I had to run just more than a mile, I came 9th out of about 50 children and my cousin was eighth and that was only our second race. On Monday the 22nd of November I have to go to a presentation for representing the club. Every time you go to training you have to run a mile under 7 minutes, my best time is 6 minutes 13 seconds.

Last week all the schools in Barlanark were told that primary 5, 6, and 7 were to design a poster on the dangers of November. Today there was a special assembly. A fire-fighter and a man from the co-operative came. First the fire-fighter told us about how to use sparklers and fireworks safely then the man announced the winners. 2nd place went to Jordan in primary 5 and 1st place went to me! We both won certificates and an artist box as prizes.

On Monday the 25TH of October P7 went to the Royal Concert Hall to see the Russian festival there was dancers and singers and people playing instruments. The dancers were very good and it wasn’t just any dancing it was Russian dancing. It was really hard trying to listen to the people singing because they were singing in Russian. There were loads of instruments the men were very good and the costumes were very weird. The band wore a cream shirt and cream trousers and white boots. The dancers wore all different costumes, the one I liked was the long dress with the blue and the red and the top with the little bits of strings that hang down it was really nice. The men wore a blue and white stripy top with black trousers and black boots. At the end of the festival the dancers told primary sevens from Sandaig Primary School to come up and they showed us how to dance.Elizabeth and Jack
