How does our Garden go is a new picture gallery at Sandaig. Each day one primary six goes to the Sandaig Garden and takes a few photos. They choose one to post to the How does our Garden go gallery.
Hopefully this will let visitors to our site see how the garden changes through the season and it will also let the children experiment with photography.
You can leave comments on the photo and let the children know what you think.

Every Wednesday we get Gym yesterday we got Gym out side because it was a lovely day. We are practising at summer games in Gym every week till the end of term. Every term we get a new sport to do in Gym. The summer game we are practising this term is Rounder’s. Yesterday we didn’t get a game of rounder’s but we did some warm up games like balancing the ball on your bat and go round the pitch and run round the pitch then we did this game like tunnel rounder’s.

Every day a ninja will use his or hers ninjaness to walk into a class room wasting energy and STRIKE! Or you can say they just stick a star on the button to turn the thing off.
We made posters to warn the school of the NINJAS!
See our Eco Ninja posters.

On Friday me and Natasha took some pictures of a discussion about an assembly we would have on Friday 2nd May to tell the school what had happened to the school garden and we needed to think of scripts and slogans for it.Here is an example of one of the slogans: be a good sport and throw out and recycle that rubbish fort.
It was fun and it was interesting to listen to other ideas.

Last term we did weaving and dying the entire class enjoyed it. The first thing we did was paper weaving we used two different colours of paper.
Then we cut big strips of the second piece it was very simple to do.
The picture shows just some of our work we used cardboard looms for the weaving stuck to paper.
We also built our own looms with wood.
Click on the wee picture to see a big version.

You need to get 2 bits of paper. You cut big lines down the middle. With the other piece you cut lines out and put them through the slits. You selotape the back.
You have to make sure no edges are sticking out.
Me and Andrew made a loom. When we started the loom we used the colours blue, green, red, blue, green, red, blue green and red. When we got to the middle was small, then we started to weave again it got bigger and we made it into a little tie and a bowtie.

Hi this is Chelsea and I am going to tell you about the work being done on the Garden. The garden looked a mess before, as you can see below.
However the kind people from Glasgow City Council Land Services Helped Clean it up and this is what itlooks like now!

But it wasn't only the workmen that did the work. The Primary 1's helped plant seeds in the pots and they have already started growing!

The workmen worked very hard through all the bad weather and we would like to give a big Sandaig THANK YOU! To them.
