The christmas fair went great. We raised £1100 for the school funds. Jasmine’s gran made lots and lots of cakes to help out the school and when we went back there were none left! We all bought lots of toys and we all bought everything on the stalls.

Some of P7 with help from some P1’s spent their last day at school before Christmas recording and making up a Christmas remix which featured “Jingle Bells”, “Merry Christmas Everyone”, “Santa Got stuck Up The Chimney”, “Walking in a Winter Wonderland” and an extra special song at the end. So, why not have a listen!

On Thursday morning we went to the church and we were split into groups. Ian, David, Pete and Stuart from Scripture Union introduced themselves and then we listened to them talking about the meaning of Christmas. One group was with Ian, The second group was with David, then the third group was with Pete and the last group was with Suart.
We all finished with all the groups then we got some Juice and some biscuits and then we got tiles. Then we got some glue, squares and pearls. We made pictures of candles, presents and the stable and the people who finished had a wordsearch sheet.
We got told that Pete would come to the school and hand the tiles that we did and they were all beautiful and Mr Torrance was impressed by all the tiles!

On the 15th of December we had Christmas dinner for lunch and it we had turkey or steak pie, and it was AMAZING! All the teachers got some food and they got fancy plates. Mr Torrance had turkey and we all sat next to him. It was really funny.
We listened to Christmas songs and Kirsty was dancing and singing. She is also a good singer we also got ice cream and it was delicious. The ice cream was shaped like a star.
The P.1’s enjoyed it really much. They said“Yum, yum” and my table shared traditions and they were all funny.

Lots of Sandaig families helped us stride around Scotland on Tuesday 15th of December. We met at school at 6:30, then with our torches walked round the Sandaig stride as many times as we could in 15 minutes. Altogether we walked 135 kilometers! We almost reached Inverness but we think we’ll make it there tomorrow. The children coloured in the feet on our display that represent 5 kilometers each and we all sang Christmas songs. It was a great night with a fantastic turnout!

P1, P2 and P3 have being doing a nativity play. We saw it on Thursday and I thought it was great and I also liked all the songs at the start and especially the P1 song. It was amazing too. I also liked their costumes. At the end of each song everyone applauded because it was really great and then we got told that it was the P1’s first time on the stage. They all knew where their places were because they’ve been rehearsing it so much.

On Monday’s & Wednesday’s Mrs Laird Takes us for P.E. First we Walk , Jog & run. After that we practice our chess passes and we like that a lot.
Next we get into partners & we play copy cats. Copy cats is a game were we copy what the other person does. It’s one of our warm up games.
Lastly, we played cat & mice. Cats and mice is a game where half of us are cats & half of us are mice. The mice have a tail and the cats have to try & pull it out. It’s a lot of fun!
