The Sandaig blogs have been running since 2004, it is now time to move to a newer system for the schools blogging. We have installed wordpress and are going to use that for most of the blogging at Sandaig from now on.

The new blog address is:
http://www.sandaigprimary.co.uk/otters
Where you will find the sort of posts you use to find on the old Sandaig otter's blog, the poetry blog, Sandaig TV and all the other blogs. The only exceptions are the Head Teacher's blog, which is staying right were it is: HT News and the Eco blog which will move to http://www.sandaigprimary.co.uk/eco.
If you link to the Sandaig blogs you may like to update your links. The older blogs will stay here for reference but comments will be closed in the near future.

At our last pupil council meeting we decided to do a questionarre on the new dinner menu.
We came up with 5 questions.
1)What is your favourite meal on the menu?
2)What would make the menu better?
3)What would you take away from the menu?
4)Do you take 5 things from the Pic `n`mix?
5)Do you like the new menu or the old menu?
The results were very good but we did find out that the old menu was liked better?

Council meeting

In October we had a council meeting about the Barlanark children coming over to Sandaig and we where thinking of the kinds of things they have in their school like basketball, volleyball, netball and golden time.
We also talked about the Halloween disco and Mrs Burke and the rest of the teachers decided that there will be no halloween party for 2005 in the evening.
We talked about the fitness targets and the one for November is 10 star jumps or more. The next meeting will be held on 25 of November

The first meeting

In the first council for this year all the council people which is p5 Karen and Craig
P6 Sam and Declan and P7 Megan and Jack We all gathered round and Miss McArthur started talking about Anti Bullying.
Megan came up with the idea of an Anti bullying word search.
The first ten people to hand in their word search by Wednesday would win a chocolate bar. One of the winners will also win a �10 book voucher.
We also started talking about the playground equipment and Karen said when she was out in the playground she sees children not using skipping ropes and space hoppers properly. We are getting new equipment and we hope the children take good care of the new equipment properly.

We also talked about Health and fitness targets. We will soon have a target for each month. Right now we are just using the old targets. This months target is:
